Chocolate consumption in Nepal has been growing, particularly in urban areas like Kathmandu and Pokhara, driven by Western influences and a rising middle class. Imported brands like Cadbury and Nestlé are popular, along with locally produced, handmade chocolates. Chocolates are increasingly replacing traditional sweets during festivals like Dashain and Tihar and are especially favored by children and young adults. While widely available in stores and online, warm temperatures pose storage challenges, but the trend continues to rise as chocolates become a more regular part of Nepalese lifestyles.
